Any professional level GPU will provide the OpenCL accelerating used in various filters. Unless you need exotic display support for high resolutions or mazimum display arrays, spending more on a GPU will give diminishing returns, so a basic Quadro will suit your needs.

Premiere Pro and After Effects

Both of these applications benefit from CPU and GPU power. For the most demanding workflows going for raw CPU power, calculated by multiplying a CPU’s cores by its frequency, will always pay off. RAM is also important. When using After Effects’ new rendering engine, we recommend 3-6GB of RAM per CPU core in a workstation. Many effects, filters and actions including real-time playback require a powerful GPU. Scrubbing and previewing can benefit from multiple GPUs. The more effects and the higher the resolution you are working with, the more powerful GPU configuration you should consider for working with Premiere Pro. If you are working with large frame sizes or data-rich formats such as RAW, bigger and faster drive arrays in RAID are recommended.
